We'll miss you

To the dear friends of Wiggley & Ginger.

Our little friend Wiggley passed away on the 10th March 2011. It has been a hard journey for us all but he was a brave little guinea pig who fought till the end.

Here's a tribute for Wiggley I thought you might like to read. I'll miss them both terribly.

Thank you all for all your kind words and continued support. The boys would very much like this blog to be continued so watch this space.

22 have something to squeak about:

I agree they were both very lucky to have you as a Mum. I absolutely love this photo, I'm so glad you have it for memories.

:( Sorry they are gone. At least they gave happiness to all, even us over the web.

How sad. I can imagine how you must be feeling. I just lost my Henry-Pig a few weeks ago, and now his brother Horace-Pig isn't doing so well.

I'm going to miss reading about Wiggly's (and Ginger's) antics and all of their adventures. Thank you for sharing them both with us.

Thank you for sharing them with me. It brought me so much joy to read the things "they" had written about and look at the photos. I hope you choose to adopt a couple more piggehs. {{{Hugs}}}

I am heartbroken for you and for the little pigs that sent me so much joy across the miles. They had many friends and admirers among me and my friends. We will miss them terrible. We do have many other pets who have gone before so they must be on the other side, greeting Wiggley (and Ginger) with many nuzzles. Oh I am so sorry.

It's hard to beleive that they are now both gone.

I enjoyed visiting them and watching thier never dull antics and was always impressed with the love and care you bestowed upon both Wiggley and Ginger. They were very lucky to have been adopted by you.

The photo tribute of the apple thief seemed to sum up both thier personalities so well.

Farewell sweet Wiggley, you were a one in the million guinea pig.

Thank you all for your kind words. I'm glad you all enjoyed following the boys' adventures as much as I have enjoyed documenting them. The boys would be very pleased to know that :)

We will definitely adopt guinea pigs in the future as there are far too many abandoned ones in cavy shelters than are stocked in pet shops.

But for now, we'll have some quiet moments to reflect and recall the sweet memories that the boys left us with - they were very special individuals.

My heartfelt sympathies at this sad sad time.

Both your boys were such characters and I loved reading about their adventures. (I hope that you can take some comfort in knowing that Wiggley and Ginger have been reunited again. Together forever.)

Bye Wiggley. You piggies have such a short time on this earth.
